Insured event

If your car or vehicle owner’s liability is insured

In case of the insured event occurrence:

  • Try to calm down.
  • Immediately inform about the accident and injured persons to traffic police by 102 calling and stay at the scene before its representatives arrival. Closely monitor the completeness of the information contained at the documents being filled in.
  • If as the result of road traffic accident damage to life and health of a person is caused, be sure to call 103.
  • If there is a fire of vehicle - call 101.
  • Do not move the vehicle prior to the traffic police inspection.
  • Immediately notify the insurer about the insured event by any available means (orally, in writing). Information orally shall be subsequently (within seventy-two hours) confirmed in writing.
  • Save the damaged vehicle (damaged property) in the form in which it has appeared as a result of the insured event, prior inspection of it by the Insurer.
  • Take all possible measures to reduce the potential loss.
  • Do not make any cash payments and statements without the written consent of the Insurer.

Failure to notify the insurer within the specified period about the insured event gives him the right to deny insurance payment.

Documents to be submitted to the Insurer for insurance payment:

  • Application for insurance payment.
  • Insurance contract (Insurance policy).
  • A copy of the driver's license of the Insurant (Insured), or a person who has driven a vehicle, and a copy of a document confirming his right to drive this vehicle.
  • A document confirming the fact of the insured event and the amount of damage caused to victims.
  • Copies of the certificate from health care organizations on the period of temporary disability of the victim or the certificate from the specialized agencies on disability of the victim - in case of its approval.
  • Notarized copy of the Death Certificate of the victim and the document confirming the right of the beneficiary for compensation (a copy) - in case of death of the victim.
  • Decision to institute or deny criminal proceedings.
  • A copy of the identity document of the beneficiary (for individuals) or the original of the Power of Attorney issued to the representative of the legal entity.
  • Documents, proving the costs incurred by the insurant (insured) to prevent or reduce losses in case of the insured event occurrence (if any).
  • Documents on estimation of size of the damage caused made by an independent expert (if available).
  • The Power of Attorney to get the insurance benefit (if necessary).

In case of the vehicle hijacking the following additional means shall be provided:

  • Vehicle registration documents (certificate of vehicle registration (technical certificate), powers of attorney for the right to drive and de-registration, driver's license).
  • Complete set of original keys from the vehicle.
  • Letter with the obligation of the Insurant, in case vehicle is found, to reimburse the Insurer of insurance payments by returning of the amount received or transmission of the vehicle to the Insurer with all necessary documents for selling it according to market value with the order to transfer the amount received on account of the Insurer.

In case of vehicle fire it is necessary to provide additional documents from Fire Service with indication of causes of the fire and the decision made (in case of investigation files sending to law enforcement agencies).

Make every effort to ensure the right to claim for the insurer against the person responsible for occurrence of the insured event and the damage caused to you.

If your property is insured

In case of the insurance event occurrence:

  • Try to calm down.
  • Immediately inform the appropriate authorities about the incident:
    • in case of fire - 101;
    • in case of theft and other illegal actions of third parties - 102;
    • in case of accident with plumbing, heating or sewer network - to the appropriate emergency services
    • if housing is insured - inform the Communal Service.
  • Take all possible measures to save the insured property to reduce damage.
  • Within three (3) days notify the insurer about the incident in written form.
  • Provide the representative of the insurer with an opportunity to inspect the damaged property and investigation of the cause and amount of loss.

Failure to notify the insurer within the specified period about the insured event gives him the right to deny insurance payment.

Documents to be submitted to the Insurer for insurance payment:

  • Application for insurance payment;
  • Insurance contract (Insurance policy);
  • Identity card (for an individual);
  • The power of attorney to receive insurance payment (if necessary);
  • Documents confirming the insured event occurrence and amount of damage.

Make every effort to ensure the right to claim for the insurer against the person responsible for occurrence of the insured event and the damage caused to you.
